Camelot is forecasting a “sales frenzy” when the first EuroMillions Tuesday draw occurs this week with a lottery jackpot of a whopping £85 million.
This first Tuesday jackpot would see a solitary winner gain riches on a par with pop star Robbie Williams, who was valued at £85 million in The Sunday Times Rich List 2010, and only just behind George Michael, whose wealth is estimated at £90 million.
Camelot said: “Each of the 28,500 National Lottery Retailers across the country have stocked new playslips ensuring players can get their tickets before the 7.30pm draw break on Tuesday”.
“The £85 million mega jackpot marks changes to the game which are designed to create bigger jackpots and even more winners.”
The introduction of the Tuesday draw is just one of a raft of adjustments to the Euro Millions, including a whole new prize tier of about £2.70 for matching two principal numbers. There’ll now be eleven Lucky Star numbers to choose from instead of nine.
If no single ticket matches all five principal numbers and 2 Lucky Star numbers to win the jackpot in the first Tuesday draw, then it will rollover to the Friday Euro Millions draw on the 13th of May.
There will also be two guaranteed millionaires created by the Euro Millions Millionaire Raffle weekly in the United Kingdom.
